Today’s Recipe: Honey Glazed Salmon with Blueberry Compote

Hey there, foodies! Today I’m excited to share a delicious and unique dish that’s perfect for a cozy night in or a special dinner with loved ones. This recipe combines the savory goodness of salmon with a sweet and tangy blueberry compote that will leave your taste buds wanting more. Let’s get cooking!

Ingredients:

  • salmon fillets (4, 150g each)
  • blueberries (200g)
  • honey (60ml)
  • balsamic vinegar (30ml)
  • garlic (2 cloves, minced)
  • fresh thyme (1 tablespoon, chopped)
  • olive oil (30ml)
  • salt and pepper

Kitchen Tools:

  • baking sheet
  • saucepan
  • grill pan
  • mixing bowl
  • spatula

To start, preheat your oven to 180°C. Place the salmon fillets on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

In the meantime, heat a saucepan over medium heat and add the blueberries, honey, balsamic vinegar, garlic, and thyme. Cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the blueberries burst and the mixture thickens into a compote.

Once the salmon is done, heat a grill pan over medium-high heat. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on the grill pan and cook for 2-3 minutes until the skin is crispy.

Serve the grilled salmon drizzled with the blueberry compote on top. The combination of the sweet blueberries and savory salmon is sure to impress your guests!
