Today’s Special: Miso-Maple Glazed Salmon

As the weather starts to cool down and the leaves turn vibrant shades of red and orange, I find myself craving warm, comforting dishes that celebrate the flavors of the season. Today, I’m excited to share with you my recipe for Miso-Maple Glazed Salmon – a unique and flavorful twist on a classic fish dish.

Ingredients:

  • salmon fillet
  • white miso paste
  • maple syrup
  • soy sauce
  • minced ginger
  • minced garlic
  • olive oil
  • salt and pepper

Kitchen Tools:

  • baking sheet
  • mixing bowl
  • small saucepan
  • whisk
  • measuring spoons
  • oven

Start by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C) and lining a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a small saucepan, combine the white miso paste, maple syrup, soy sauce, minced ginger, minced garlic, and olive oil over low heat. Whisk the ingredients together until well combined and slightly thickened.

Place the salmon fillet on the prepared baking sheet and season with salt and pepper. Brush the miso-maple glaze generously over the top of the salmon, making sure it’s fully coated. Transfer the baking sheet to the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

Once the salmon is done, remove it from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving. The miso-maple glaze will caramelize slightly, creating a beautiful golden crust on the fish.
