Refreshing Lemon-Lavender Chicken Pasta Recipe

Today’s Unique Dish: Lemon-Lavender Chicken Pasta

As the weather starts to warm up, I’ve been craving light and refreshing dishes that still pack a flavorful punch. Today, I’m excited to share my recipe for Lemon-Lavender Chicken Pasta. This dish combines the zesty brightness of lemon with the subtle floral notes of lavender, creating a unique and unforgettable flavor profile.

Ingredients:

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (400g)
  • 250g linguine pasta
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 tbsp dried lavender buds
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Kitchen Tools:

To start, season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and a sprinkle of dried lavender buds. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the chicken until golden brown on both sides, about 5-7 minutes per side. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, melt the butter and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant. Add in the heavy cream, juice and zest of the lemon, and remaining dried lavender buds. Simmer the sauce until it thickens slightly, about 5 minutes.

While the sauce is simmering, cook the linguine pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain the pasta and add it to the skillet with the sauce. Toss to combine, adding more salt and pepper to taste.

Slice the cooked chicken breasts and place them on top of the pasta. Garnish with additional lemon zest and lavender buds for a fresh burst of flavor.

This Lemon-Lavender Chicken Pasta serves 4 and each serving weighs approximately 300g. One serving is about 450 calories.

Tips:

For an extra flavor boost, try adding a splash of white wine to the sauce while it simmers. The acidity will brighten up the dish and complement the lemon and lavender beautifully.
