Fall Harvest Bread Pudding

As the crisp fall air settles in, I find myself craving warm and comforting dishes to enjoy with my loved ones. Today, I’m excited to share my unique Fall Harvest Bread Pudding recipe with you all. This dish combines the flavors of the season in a delightful and unexpected way, making it the perfect treat for any autumn gathering.

Ingredients:

  • 400g day-old bread, cubed
  • 2 medium apples, diced
  • 100g cranberries
  • 200g pumpkin puree
  • 100ml maple syrup
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 3 eggs
  • 400ml milk

Kitchen Tools:

  • mixing bowl
  • whisk
  • baking dish
  • oven

To begin, preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). In a large mixing bowl, combine the cubed day-old bread, diced apples, cranberries, pumpkin puree, maple syrup, cinnamon, and nutmeg. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk until well combined. Pour the egg mixture over the bread mixture and gently stir to ensure everything is evenly coated.

Transfer the mixture into a greased baking dish and spread it out evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the pudding is set and golden brown on top. The aroma of pumpkin, apples, and spices will fill your kitchen, creating a cozy atmosphere that is perfect for the season.

Once cooked, remove the bread pudding from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving. This Fall Harvest Bread Pudding is best enjoyed warm, either on its own or with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Serving:

This recipe makes approximately 6 servings, with each serving weighing around 300g. One serving of this Fall Harvest Bread Pudding is estimated to have around 350 calories.

Tip:

For an extra layer of flavor, try adding a handful of chopped pecans or walnuts to the bread pudding mixture before baking. The nuts will add a delightful crunch and richness to the dish, taking it to the next level.

I hope you enjoy making and sharing this Fall Harvest Bread Pudding with your friends and family. Feel free to experiment with different fruits, spices, or toppings to make it your own. Happy baking!
