Hello foodies! Today, I’m excited to share a unique and indulgent dessert recipe that will surprise your taste buds – Spicy Chocolate Avocado Mousse. This dish is perfect for a cozy night in or a special occasion when you want to impress your guests with something a little out of the ordinary.

Ingredients:

  • food processor
  • saucepan
  • mixing bowl

For this recipe, you will need:

  • 2 ripe avocados (200g)
  • 100g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 100ml coconut milk
  • 3 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • Pinch of salt

Start by heating the coconut milk in a saucepan over low heat until it just begins to simmer. Add the chopped dark chocolate to the saucepan and stir until melted and smooth.

In a food processor, combine the ripe avocados, melted chocolate mixture, maple syrup, cinnamon, cayenne pepper, and a pinch of salt. Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed to ensure everything is well incorporated.

Transfer the mousse to a mixing bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow it to set and chill. When ready to serve, divide the mousse into individual dishes and garnish with a sprinkle of extra cinnamon or cayenne pepper for a pop of color and flavor.

Tip:

For an extra decadent touch, try topping the mousse with a dollop of whipped coconut cream and a drizzle of melted dark chocolate before serving.
