Today’s Holiday Recipe: Spiced Pumpkin and White Chocolate Bread Pudding

As we approach the holiday season, I find myself craving comforting and indulgent desserts to share with my loved ones. That’s why today I’m excited to share my recipe for Spiced Pumpkin and White Chocolate Bread Pudding. This dessert combines the warmth of pumpkin spice with the sweetness of white chocolate in a cozy and satisfying dish that is perfect for any festive occasion.

To make this delightful dessert, you will need the following ingredients:

  • 300g sourdough bread, cubed
  • 250g pumpkin puree
  • 150g white chocolate chips
  • 3 eggs
  • 350ml heavy cream
  • 100g brown sugar
  • 2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 50g butter, melted

For this recipe, you will need the following kitchen tools:

  • mixing bowl
  • whisk
  • baking dish
  • oven

Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (180°C) and greasing a baking dish with butter. In a large mixing bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, eggs, heavy cream, brown sugar, pumpkin pie spice, vanilla extract, and salt. Whisk everything together until fully combined.

Next, add the cubed sourdough bread and white chocolate chips to the bowl, mixing well to ensure each piece of bread is coated in the pumpkin mixture. Allow the bread to soak for about 15 minutes to absorb the flavors.

Pour the bread pudding mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it out evenly. Drizzle the melted butter over the top to create a golden and crispy crust when baked.

Bake the bread pudding in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the pudding is set in the center. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.

This Spiced Pumpkin and White Chocolate Bread Pudding weighs approximately 1250g and serves 8 people. Each serving is about 156g and contains around 380 calories.

A clever tip to enhance the flavor of this bread pudding is to sprinkle extra white chocolate chips on top before baking for an extra burst of sweetness and indulgence.

I hope you enjoy making and sharing this Spiced Pumpkin and White Chocolate Bread Pudding with your friends and family. Feel free to customize the recipe with your favorite spices or toppings to make it truly your own. Happy baking!
