Warm and Cozy Fall Recipe: Golden Pumpkin Ravioli

Fall is finally here, and with the crisp air and colorful leaves comes the perfect excuse to cozy up with a warm, comforting meal. Today, I am excited to share my recipe for Golden Pumpkin Ravioli, a delightful dish that captures the essence of autumn in every bite.

For this recipe, you will need the following ingredients:

  • 200g pumpkin puree
  • 150g ricotta cheese
  • 50g Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • to taste
  • wonton wrappers
  • 50g butter
  • a few sage leaves

To make this dish, you will need the following kitchen tools:

  • mixing bowl
  • potato masher
  • fork
  • rolling pin
  • frying pan

Start by combining the pumpkin puree, ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, nutmeg, cinnamon, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl. Use a potato masher to ensure everything is well mixed and the pumpkin is smooth. Taste the mixture and adjust the seasoning if needed.

Next, lay out the wonton wrappers on a clean surface. Place a small spoonful of the pumpkin mixture in the center of each wrapper. Moisten the edges with water and fold the wrappers in half to form a triangle, pressing the edges to seal. You can also use a fork to crimp the edges for a decorative touch.

In a frying pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the sage leaves and let them sizzle for a minute to infuse the butter with their flavor. Carefully add the ravioli to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.

Once the ravioli are cooked, remove them from the pan and place them on a serving plate. Drizzle the sage-infused butter over the top for an extra burst of flavor. Serve the ravioli hot and enjoy the delicious combination of pumpkin, cheese, and warm spices.

The total weight of the cooked dish is approximately 600g, with 4 servings. Each serving weighs around 150g. One serving of Golden Pumpkin Ravioli is approximately 350 calories.

A clever tip for this recipe is to sprinkle some toasted pumpkin seeds on top of the ravioli before serving for an added crunch and nuttiness. It’s a simple touch that elevates the dish and adds a delightful contrast in texture.

I hope you give this Golden Pumpkin Ravioli recipe a try and make it your own with your favorite seasonal ingredients. Enjoy the flavors of fall in a warm and comforting meal that will surely become a new favorite at your dinner table.
