Savory and Sweet: Fig, Goat Cheese, and Prosciutto Del

Savory and Sweet: Fig, Goat Cheese, and Prosciutto Del

May 12, 2025 Written by Olivia

Welcome to My Kitchen!

Today, I’m excited to share a unique recipe that combines unexpected flavors to create a delightful dish perfect for a cozy night in or a dinner party with friends. This recipe was inspired by the changing seasons and my love for experimenting with new ingredients.

Ingredients:

  • fresh figs
  • goat cheese
  • prosciutto
  • walnuts
  • honey

Kitchen Tools:

  • knife
  • cutting board
  • oven
  • baking sheet

I start by preheating the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lining a baking sheet with parchment paper. Next, I slice the fresh figs in half and place them on the baking sheet, cut side up. Then, I crumble the goat cheese and sprinkle it on top of the figs. I tear the prosciutto into small pieces and place a piece on each fig.

After that, I roughly chop the walnuts and sprinkle them over the figs. To finish, I drizzle honey over the top for a touch of sweetness. The tray goes into the oven for about 10-12 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the prosciutto is slightly crispy.

Once out of the oven, the figs are beautifully caramelized, and the cheese has melted into a gooey, savory layer. The prosciutto adds a salty crunch, while the walnuts provide a nice texture contrast. The honey ties everything together with a touch of sweetness.

This dish weighs approximately 580g once cooked and serves 4. Each serving is around 145g, with an estimated calorie count of 250 per serving.

One clever tip for this recipe is to drizzle a bit of balsamic glaze over the top before serving for an extra burst of flavor. It adds a tangy richness that complements the sweetness of the figs and honey perfectly.

I hope you give this unique fig, goat cheese, and prosciutto recipe a try and enjoy it as much as I do. Feel free to get creative and make it your own by adding your favorite herbs or spices. Happy cooking!
