Savor the Flavor: Pistachio-Crusted Salmon Delight

My Unique Pistachio-Crusted Salmon Recipe

Today, I am excited to share with you a unique and flavorful dish that combines the richness of salmon with the nuttiness of pistachios. This dish is perfect for a special dinner at home or to impress your guests at a dinner party.

Ingredients:

  • 4 salmon fillets (120g each)
  • 100g shelled pistachios
  • 1 lemon
  • A handful of fresh parsley
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Kitchen Tools:

  • knife
  • cutting board

Start by preheating your oven to 180°C. Place the pistachios in a food processor and pulse until they are finely chopped but still have some texture. Transfer the chopped pistachios to a shallow dish.

Next, zest the lemon and chop the parsley finely. Mix the lemon zest and parsley with the chopped pistachios in the dish. Drizzle 1 tablespoon of olive oil over the mixture and combine well. Season with salt and pepper.

Take the salmon fillets and pat them dry with a paper towel. Drizzle the remaining olive oil over the fillets and season with salt and pepper. Press each fillet into the pistachio mixture, coating the top side generously.

Place the pistachio-crusted salmon fillets in a baking dish and bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and the pistachio crust is golden brown.

Once cooked, remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving. This allows the flavors to settle and the juices to redistribute.

The total weight of the cooked dish is approximately 600g. This recipe serves 4, with each serving weighing around 150g. Each serving is approximately 300 calories.

One clever tip for this dish is to sprinkle a little extra lemon zest over the salmon just before serving. This adds a burst of fresh citrus flavor that complements the nuttiness of the pistachios perfectly.
