Ingredients:

  • 250g pumpkin puree
  • 200g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 150g butter
  • 200g brown sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 150g all-purpose flour
  • 50g cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp salt

I start by melting the butter and dark chocolate together in a saucepan over low heat until smooth and combined. In a separate mixing bowl, I whisk together the pumpkin puree, brown sugar, and eggs until well mixed. Next, I slowly pour the melted chocolate mixture into the pumpkin mixture, stirring continuously.

In another bowl, I combine the flour, cocoa powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. I gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Be careful not to overmix to keep the brownies moist and fudgy.

I preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a square baking dish. I pour the brownie batter into the prepared dish and smooth out the top. I bake the brownies for about 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

Once done, I let the brownies cool for a bit before slicing them into squares. The rich chocolatey aroma combined with the warm spices and pumpkin will surely make your kitchen smell amazing.
