Today’s Culinary Invention: Spicy Mango Chicken Stir-Fry

Hello foodies! Today I am excited to share with you my latest culinary invention: a Spicy Mango Chicken Stir-Fry. This dish is perfect for those hot summer nights when you’re craving something with a little kick and a touch of sweetness. The combination of juicy mango, tender chicken, and spicy sauce is sure to tantalize your taste buds. Let’s dive into the recipe!

Ingredients:

  • boneless, skinless chicken breast (300g)
  • ripe mango (1, peeled and diced)
  • bell pepper (1, sliced)
  • onion (1, thinly sliced)
  • garlic (3 cloves, minced)
  • ginger (1-inch piece, grated)
  • soy sauce (3 tbsp)
  • sriracha sauce (2 tbsp)
  • honey (2 tbsp)
  • rice vinegar (1 tbsp)
  • cornstarch (1 tbsp)
  • vegetable oil (2 tbsp)
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • cooked rice for serving

Kitchen Tools:

  • wok
  • chef’s knife
  • cutting board
  • garlic press
  • grater
  • mixing bowl
  • tongs

Start by slicing the chicken breast into thin strips and season with salt and pepper. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, sriracha, honey, rice vinegar, and cornstarch to make the sauce. Heat vegetable oil in a wok over medium-high heat and add the chicken. Cook until browned, then remove from the wok and set aside.

In the same wok, add a bit more oil if needed and sauté garlic, ginger, onion, and bell pepper until fragrant and slightly softened. Return the chicken to the wok and pour in the sauce. Stir well to coat everything with the flavorful sauce. Add the diced mango and stir-fry for another couple of minutes until everything is heated through.

Serve the Spicy Mango Chicken Stir-Fry over cooked rice and enjoy the perfect balance of spicy, sweet, and savory flavors in every bite.

The approximate total weight of the cooked dish is 800g, with 4 servings. Each serving weighs around 200g. An estimated calorie count per serving is 350 calories.

One tip to make this dish even more delicious is to sprinkle some chopped fresh cilantro on top before serving. It adds a burst of freshness that complements the flavors beautifully.

I hope you give this Spicy Mango Chicken Stir-Fry a try and add your own twist to it. Feel free to experiment with different veggies or adjust the level of spiciness to suit your taste. Happy cooking!
