Ingredients:

  • 50g fresh black truffles (sliced)
  • 200g tagliatelle pasta
  • 150ml heavy cream
  • 50g butter
  • 50g Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese (grated)

Kitchen Tools:

  • chef’s knife

  • large saucepan
  • grater

Preparation:

I start by bringing a large saucepan of salted water to a boil over medium-high heat. As the water heats up, I begin slicing the fresh black truffles thinly using a sharp chef’s knife on a clean cutting board.

In a separate saucepan, I melt the butter over low heat and then add the sliced black truffles, cooking them gently for a few minutes until they release their earthy aroma.

Next, I pour the heavy cream into the pan and stir gently to combine with the butter and truffles. I let this mixture simmer over low heat, allowing the flavors to meld together beautifully.

While the truffle cream sauce simmers, I add the tagliatelle pasta to the boiling water and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Once the pasta is cooked, I drain it well and add it to the pan with the truffle cream sauce.

I sprinkle the grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese over the pasta, season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste, and toss everything together gently until the pasta is well coated with the luxurious truffle cream sauce.

Tips:

For an extra decadent touch, try finishing the dish with a drizzle of truffle oil just before serving to enhance the overall truffle flavor.
