Sweet Strawberry Brie Prosciutto Delight

Hey there, foodies! Today, I’m excited to share a unique and flavorful dish that I created on a whim during a lazy Sunday afternoon. This dish combines unexpected ingredients to create a dish that is both comforting and exciting. So, let’s jump right into it!

Ingredients

– 250g fresh strawberries
– 150g brie cheese
– 100g prosciutto
– 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
– 2 tablespoons honey
– Fresh basil leaves
– Black pepper

Preparation

To start, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice the brie cheese into small cubes and set aside. Next, wash and hull the strawberries before slicing them into halves. Lay them out on a baking sheet and roast them in the oven for about 15-20 minutes until they are slightly caramelized.

In a saucepan, combine the balsamic vinegar and honey and simmer over low heat until the mixture thickens and becomes syrupy. This will take around 5-8 minutes. Once done, set it aside to cool.

Remove the roasted strawberries from the oven and let them cool slightly. On a serving platter, arrange the prosciutto slices, roasted strawberries, and brie cheese. Drizzle the balsamic honey glaze over the top and garnish with torn basil leaves and a sprinkle of black pepper.

Tips

For an extra flavor boost, try sprinkling some toasted almonds or walnuts over the dish before serving. The nuts add a delightful crunch that complements the creamy brie and sweet strawberries perfectly.

This dish serves 4 and each serving weighs approximately 180g. One serving carries around 300 calories, making it a guilt-free indulgence that is perfect for sharing with friends or enjoying as a light lunch.
