Today’s Unique Fusion Dish: Matcha Infused Tiramisu

Greetings, foodies! Today, I’m excited to share with you my latest culinary creation: a Matcha Infused Tiramisu. This delightful dessert combines the classic Italian tiramisu with a Japanese twist, infusing the layers of mascarpone and coffee-soaked ladyfingers with the earthy and slightly bitter flavor of matcha green tea. The result is a unique and refreshing take on a beloved dessert that is perfect for any special occasion or simply when you’re craving something sweet with a twist.

To create this fusion masterpiece, you will need the following ingredients:

  • cream cheese (250g)
  • mascarpone cheese (250g)
  • matcha powder (2 tbsp)
  • heavy cream (250ml)
  • sugar (150g)
  • espresso (1 cup)
  • ladyfingers (200g)

For this recipe, you will need the following kitchen tools:

  • mixing bowl
  • whisk
  • measuring cups
  • sifter
  • spatula
  • square baking dish

To begin, start by brewing a cup of espresso and allowing it to cool. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, mascarpone cheese, and sugar, and whisk until smooth. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cheese mixture until well combined.

Next, sift the matcha powder over the cheese and cream mixture, gently folding it in until evenly distributed. Dip the ladyfingers into the cooled espresso, making sure not to soak them completely. Arrange a layer of soaked ladyfingers in the bottom of a square baking dish. Spread half of the matcha cream mixture over the ladyfingers.

Repeat the process with another layer of soaked ladyfingers and the remaining matcha cream mixture. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours to allow the flavors to meld together.

Once chilled, remove the tiramisu from the refrigerator and dust the top with a sprinkle of matcha powder for a decorative touch. Serve chilled and enjoy the unique flavors of this Matcha Infused Tiramisu.

The approximate total weight of the cooked dish is 1200g, with 8 servings at 150g each. Each serving is approximately 320 calories.

One clever tip for this dish is to sprinkle a bit of cocoa powder between the layers of ladyfingers for added depth of flavor and a touch of bitterness to balance the sweetness of the dessert.

I hope you give this Matcha Infused Tiramisu a try and experiment with your own variations. Happy cooking!
