This dish is perfect for a cozy night in with loved ones, bringing together the umami richness of miso with the comforting warmth of creamy pasta. It’s a true culinary adventure that will surprise and delight your taste buds.

Ingredients:

  • spaghetti (200g)
  • miso paste (50g)
  • heavy cream (100ml)
  • shiitake mushrooms, sliced (100g)
  • garlic, minced (2 cloves)
  • butter (50g)
  • Parmesan cheese, grated (50g)
  • fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

To start, cook the spaghetti according to package instructions in a pot of salted water until al dente. In a separate pan, melt butter over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant. Add the sliced shiitake mushrooms and cook until they are tender.

Next, add the miso paste to the pan and stir to combine with the mushrooms and garlic. Pour in the heavy cream and continue to stir until the sauce is smooth and well incorporated. Let the sauce simmer gently for a few minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.

Once the spaghetti is cooked, drain it and add it to the pan with the miso cream sauce. Toss the spaghetti in the sauce until it is fully coated and creamy. Finally, sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the top and stir it in until melted.
