Today’s Creation: Spiced Apple & Brie Stuffed Pork Chops

As the weather cools down and the leaves start to change color, I find myself craving warm, comforting dishes that perfectly capture the essence of fall. That’s why today, I’m excited to share with you my latest creation: spiced apple & brie stuffed pork chops. This dish combines the savory goodness of juicy pork chops with the sweet and tangy flavors of spiced apples and creamy brie cheese. It’s a perfect dish for a cozy night in or a special occasion with loved ones.

Ingredients:

  • pork chops (4 pieces)
  • apples (2, thinly sliced)
  • brie cheese (100g, thinly sliced)
  • onion (1, finely chopped)
  • maple syrup (2 tbsp)
  • cinnamon (1 tsp)
  • nutmeg (1/2 tsp)
  • salt and pepper to taste

Kitchen Tools:

  • chef’s knife
  • cutting board
  • cast iron skillet
  • oven
  • tongs

To start, preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Using a sharp chef’s knife, carefully butterfly each pork chop to create a pocket for the stuffing. Season the inside of each chop with salt and pepper.

In a hot cast iron skillet, sear the pork chops on both sides until golden brown. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, sauté the chopped onion until translucent. Add the sliced apples, maple syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Cook until the apples are tender and caramelized.

Stuff each pork chop with a generous amount of the spiced apple mixture and top with slices of brie cheese. Place the stuffed chops back in the skillet and transfer to the oven.

Bake for about 15-20 minutes or until the pork is cooked through and the cheese is melted and bubbly. Remove from the oven and let rest for a few minutes before serving.

This spiced apple & brie stuffed pork chop dish weighs approximately 1000g and serves 4. Each serving is around 250g with an estimated calorie count of 400 per portion.

One clever tip for this recipe is to sprinkle some chopped walnuts on top before serving for an added crunch and nuttiness that complements the dish perfectly.

I hope you give this recipe a try and enjoy it as much as I do. Feel free to experiment with different types of cheese or add your own twist to make it truly yours. Happy cooking!
