Today’s Unique Healthy Dessert: Raspberry Basil Chia Pudding

Hey everyone! Today, I wanted to share a special dessert recipe that combines the freshness of raspberries with the herbaceous aroma of basil in a delightful chia pudding. This unique combination is perfect for a light and refreshing treat on a warm summer day.

Ingredients:

  • chia seeds (50g)
  • coconut milk (200ml)
  • fresh raspberries (100g)
  • fresh basil leaves (10g)
  • honey (30g)

Kitchen Tools:

  • mixing bowl
  • whisk
  • blender

Let’s start by mixing the chia seeds and coconut milk in a bowl. Whisk them together until well combined, then cover and let the mixture sit in the fridge for at least 30 minutes, or until it thickens into a pudding-like consistency.

In the meantime, blend the fresh raspberries, basil leaves, and honey in a blender until smooth. Strain the mixture to remove any seeds or pulp, leaving you with a vibrant raspberry basil puree.

Once the chia pudding has set, take it out of the fridge and layer it in serving glasses with the raspberry basil puree. You can alternate between layers of chia pudding and puree to create a beautiful marbled effect.

To finish, garnish the top of each glass with a few fresh raspberries and basil leaves for a pop of color and freshness. Serve immediately or chill for a few more hours to let the flavors meld together.

The total weight of the finished Raspberry Basil Chia Pudding is approximately 400g, with enough to serve four people. Each serving is around 100g and has an estimated calorie count of 150 calories.

One clever tip for this recipe is to sprinkle some crushed pistachios on top before serving for a lovely crunch that complements the creamy chia pudding and fruity puree.

I hope you give this Raspberry Basil Chia Pudding a try and enjoy the unique combination of flavors! Feel free to experiment with different fruits and herbs to make it your own. Happy cooking!
