Fusion Recipe: Spicy Sushi Nachos Delight

The Ultimate Spicy Sushi Nachos Fusion Recipe

Today, I am excited to share a fun and flavorful recipe that combines two of my favorite dishes: sushi and nachos. This recipe is perfect for a casual gathering with friends or as a unique appetizer for a special dinner. The fusion of Japanese and Mexican flavors is sure to delight your taste buds!

Ingredients:

  • 400g sushi rice
  • 4 nori sheets
  • 1 ripe avocado, sliced
  • 1/2 cucumber, julienned
  • 50g pickled ginger
  • 2 tbsp wasabi paste
  • 4 tbsp sriracha mayo
  • 200g sushi-grade tuna, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 200g tortilla chips
  • 2 jalapeños, sliced

Kitchen Tools:

  • rice cooker
  • sharp knife
  • cutting board
  • mixing bowl
  • oven
  • baking sheet

To start, cook the sushi rice according to the package instructions in a rice cooker. While the rice is cooking, prepare the toppings by slicing the avocado, cucumber, and sushi-grade tuna.

Once the sushi rice is done, spread it out on a large platter or baking sheet to cool slightly. Lay the nori sheets on top of the rice, followed by the avocado, cucumber, pickled ginger, and sushi-grade tuna. Drizzle with soy sauce and sesame seeds.

Next, preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Spread the tortilla chips on a baking sheet and bake for 5-7 minutes until warm and crispy.

In a small bowl, mix the wasabi paste and sriracha mayo together to create a spicy sauce. Drizzle the sauce over the baked tortilla chips.

Finally, carefully transfer the sushi toppings from the platter onto the spicy tortilla chips. Top with sliced jalapeños for an extra kick.

The total weight of the cooked dish is approximately 1200g, with about 6 servings. Each serving is around 200g, with an approximate calorie count of 350 per serving.

To make this dish even more delicious, try topping the sushi nachos with a sprinkle of furikake seasoning before serving for an extra burst of umami flavor.
