As the summer heat begins to set in, I find myself craving a light yet indulgent dessert to cool off. Today, I’m excited to share a recipe for a Spicy Chocolate Avocado Mousse that combines creamy avocado with rich dark chocolate and a hint of spicy cayenne pepper. This unexpected blend creates a velvety, decadent treat unlike anything you’ve tasted before.

Ingredients:

  • 1 ripe avocado (200g)
  • 100g dark chocolate
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • Chili flakes for garnish (optional)

Kitchen Tools:

  • ramekins

Start by melting the dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl over a double boiler until smooth. In a blender, combine the ripe avocado, melted chocolate, honey, cayenne pepper, vanilla extract, and a pinch of sea salt. Blend until creamy and well combined.

Divide the mixture into ramekins and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set. Before serving, sprinkle some chili flakes on top for an extra kick of heat and a pop of color.
