Smoked Salmon and Mango Sushi Bowl

Today, I’m sharing a unique dish that combines the fresh flavors of smoked salmon with the sweetness of mango in a deconstructed sushi bowl. This recipe is perfect for a light and refreshing meal on a warm summer day.

Ingredients:

  • 100g smoked salmon
  • 1 ripe mango, diced
  • 150g sushi rice, cooked
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1/2 cucumber, julienned
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1 tsp wasabi
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • Pickled ginger, for serving

Kitchen Tools:

  • rice cooker
  • chef’s knife
  • cutting board
  • mixing bowl
  • serving bowl

To begin, cook the sushi rice according to package instructions. Once cooked, let it cool slightly before assembling the bowl. In a serving bowl, arrange the sushi rice as the base. Top the rice with slices of smoked salmon, diced mango, avocado slices, and julienned cucumber. Sprinkle sesame seeds over the top.

In a small mixing bowl, mix the wasabi with soy sauce to create a dipping sauce for the bowl. Serve the sushi bowl with pickled ginger on the side.

This Smoked Salmon and Mango Sushi Bowl serves 2 and weighs approximately 400g when fully assembled. Each serving is around 200g. A serving of this dish is approximately 350 calories.

Try sprinkling some furikake seasoning over the bowl for an extra burst of flavor and umami. Enjoy experimenting with different combinations of ingredients to make this dish your own!
