Introduction

Hey there foodies! Today, I’m excited to share a recipe that was inspired by a recent trip to a botanical garden. The vibrant colors and aromatic scents of the flowers sparked my creativity in the kitchen, leading me to create a dish that is as beautiful as it is delicious.

Ingredients

  • purple cauliflower florets (200g)
  • lavender-infused honey (30ml)
  • edible flowers for garnish
  • lemon zest (from 1 lemon)
  • pink peppercorns (5g)
  • cream cheese (50g)
  • chopped pistachios (20g)

Kitchen Tools

  • chef’s knife
  • cutting board
  • sauté pan
  • microplane zester
  • mixing bowl

Preparation

To start, heat a sauté pan over medium heat and add the purple cauliflower florets. Sauté them until they are slightly caramelized, then drizzle the lavender-infused honey over the cauliflower and continue to cook until the honey has caramelized and coated the florets.

In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese with the lemon zest and pink peppercorns to create a flavorful spread.

Spread the cream cheese mixture on a serving platter and arrange the caramelized cauliflower on top. Sprinkle with chopped pistachios and garnish with edible flowers for a pop of color.

Tips

For an extra burst of flavor, try adding a sprinkle of sea salt or a drizzle of balsamic reduction over the dish before serving.
