Today, I’m excited to share a unique recipe that combines the sweet tropical taste of mango with the bold and spicy flavors of Szechuan cuisine. This dish is perfect for those who love to experiment with fusion cuisine and enjoy a good kick of heat in their meals.

Ingredients:

  • spaghetti noodles (200g)
  • mango (1, diced)
  • red bell pepper (1, sliced)
  • onion (1, sliced)
  • garlic (3 cloves, minced)
  • ginger (1-inch piece, grated)
  • Szechuan peppercorns (1 tbsp)
  • soy sauce (2 tbsp)
  • sriracha sauce (1 tbsp)
  • sesame oil (1 tbsp)
  • green onions (for garnish)

Kitchen Tools:

  • large pot
  • skillet
  • chef’s knife
  • cutting board
  • grater

To start, cook the spaghetti noodles according to package instructions in a large pot of salted water. Drain and set aside.

In a skillet, heat some sesame oil over medium heat and add the Szechuan peppercorns, garlic, and ginger. Cook until fragrant, then add the sliced onion and red bell pepper. Stir-fry until the vegetables are tender.

Next, add the diced mango, soy sauce, and sriracha sauce to the skillet. Mix well and let it simmer for a few minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

Add the cooked spaghetti noodles to the skillet and toss everything together until the noodles are well coated with the mango Szechuan sauce.

Serve the Spicy Mango Szechuan Pasta hot, garnished with sliced green onions for an extra pop of freshness.

This delightful fusion dish weighs approximately 1100g once cooked and serves 4 people. Each serving is around 275g and is estimated to have about 350 calories.

Try adding a sprinkle of crushed peanuts on top for an added crunch and nutty flavor to this dish!
