Decadent Desserts: Velvet Chocolate Torte

Today, I’m excited to share a rich and indulgent dessert that’s perfect for a special occasion or whenever you’re in the mood for something truly decadent. This Velvet Chocolate Torte is a showstopper that combines the deep flavors of dark chocolate with a hint of espresso for a sophisticated twist.

Ingredients:

  • 300g dark chocolate (70% cocoa)
  • 200g butter
  • 200g sugar
  • 30ml espresso
  • 4 eggs
  • 10ml vanilla extract
  • 50g flour

Kitchen Tools:

  • whisk
  • round cake pan

To start, preheat your oven to 180°C. In a saucepan over low heat, melt the dark chocolate and butter together until smooth. Stir in the sugar and espresso until well combined. Allow the mixture to cool slightly.

In a mixing bowl, whisk the eggs and vanilla extract together until light and frothy. Slowly pour the chocolate mixture into the eggs, whisking constantly to prevent curdling. Add the flour and gently fold it in until just incorporated.

Grease a round cake pan and pour the batter into it. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the torte is set but still slightly gooey in the center. Allow it to cool in the pan before removing and transferring to a serving plate.
