Today, I’m excited to share with you a cozy and warm dish perfect for the autumn season: my Spicy Pumpkin Chili. This recipe is a fusion of classic chili flavors with a twist of creamy pumpkin and a kick of heat. It’s the ultimate comfort food for those chilly fall evenings.

Ingredients:

  • 400g ground beef
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 can (400g) of canned pumpkin puree
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 can (400g) of black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (400g) of diced tomatoes
  • 500ml beef broth

Kitchen Tools:

  • can opener

To start, heat a large pot over medium heat and brown the ground beef. Once it’s cooked through, add in the diced onion, minced garlic, and red bell pepper. Cook until the vegetables are tender.

Next, stir in the canned pumpkin, chili powder, cumin, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Let the spices bloom for a minute before adding the black beans, diced tomatoes, and beef broth. Bring the chili to a simmer and let it cook for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.

The Spicy Pumpkin Chili is now ready to be enjoyed! Serve it hot with your favorite toppings like shredded cheese, sour cream, and chopped cilantro.
