This dish is perfect for those who love a little heat with their sweets and are looking for a healthier alternative to traditional mousse. The smooth texture and decadent flavor of this Spicy Chocolate Avocado Mousse will surely impress your family and friends!

Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe avocados (about 400g)
  • 200g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Fresh berries, for garnish

Kitchen Tools:

  • Saucepan

  • Ramekins

To start, scoop out the flesh of the ripe avocados and place them in a food processor. In a saucepan, heat the coconut milk until steaming, then pour it over the chopped dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl. Stir until the chocolate is melted and smooth. Add the chocolate mixture to the food processor with the avocados, along with maple syrup, cayenne pepper, sea salt, and vanilla extract. Blend until creamy and combined.

Divide the mousse into ramekins and chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours to set. Serve the Spicy Chocolate Avocado Mousse garnished with fresh berries for a pop of color and extra freshness.
