This dish is a unique twist on a classic pesto sauce, incorporating the earthy flavors of kale and the spicy kick of ginger for a truly unforgettable meal.

To begin, gather the following ingredients:

  • Fresh kale (150g)
  • Fresh ginger root (30g)
  • Garlic cloves (2)
  • Pine nuts (50g)
  • Parmesan cheese (50g)
  • Extra virgin olive oil (100ml)
  • Pasta of your choice (300g)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For this recipe, you will need the following kitchen tools:

  • food processor
  • pot for cooking pasta
  • colander for draining pasta

Start by boiling a pot of water and cooking the pasta according to the package instructions. While the pasta is cooking, prepare the kale by removing the tough stems and chopping the leaves into smaller pieces. Peel and grate the ginger, peel the garlic cloves, and grate the parmesan cheese.

In a food processor, combine the kale, ginger, garlic, pine nuts, parmesan cheese, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Blend until smooth, scraping down the sides as needed to ensure everything is well combined. Taste the pesto and adjust the seasoning as necessary.
