  • beetroot (300g)
  • pineapple (200g)
  • ground cinnamon (1 tsp)
  • cayenne pepper (½ tsp)
  • honey (2 tbsp)
  • juice of 1 lime
  • pistachios (50g, crushed)
  • fresh mint leaves (for garnish)

Kitchen Tools:

  • vegetable peeler

Start by peeling and grating the beetroot, then dice the pineapple into small chunks. In a mixing bowl, combine the grated beetroot and diced pineapple. Add the ground cinnamon, cayenne pepper, honey, and lime juice to the bowl. Mix everything together until the spices are evenly distributed.

Let the salad sit in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together. This will also help to slightly soften the beetroot and pineapple, enhancing the texture of the salad.
