Introducing: Chocolate Chip Banana Bread Pudding

Today, I’m excited to share a cozy and indulgent dessert recipe perfect for those chilly evenings when you just want something warm and sweet. My chocolate chip banana bread pudding is a delightful twist on a classic comfort food that will surely satisfy your cravings.

For this recipe, you will need the following ingredients:

  • 3 ripe bananas (approx. 300g)
  • 4 cups of day-old bread, cubed (approx. 200g)
  • 1/2 cup of chocolate chips (approx. 90g)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups of milk (approx. 360ml)
  • 1/2 cup of sugar (approx. 100g)
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp of cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp of butter

Make sure you have the following kitchen tools ready:

  • mixing bowl
  • whisk
  • baking dish
  • knife

To start, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth. Add in the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon, and whisk until well combined. Stir in the cubed bread and chocolate chips until everything is evenly coated.

Next, grease a baking dish with butter and pour the bread pudding mixture into the pan. Dot the top of the pudding with small pieces of butter for a golden, crispy finish. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the pudding is set and the top is golden brown.

Once the pudding is done, remove it from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving. The warm, gooey texture combined with the sweet bananas and melty chocolate chips is simply irresistible.

This chocolate chip banana bread pudding weighs approximately 900g and serves 6. Each serving is around 150g and has an estimated calorie count of 300.

One clever tip for this recipe is to let the bread pudding sit for a few hours after baking to allow the flavors to meld together. This will result in an even richer and more decadent dessert experience.

I hope you give this chocolate chip banana bread pudding a try and enjoy every bite. Feel free to customize it with nuts, caramel sauce, or a sprinkle of sea salt to make it your own. Happy baking!
