Creative Caramelized Onion and Pear Pasta

Today, I’m excited to share a unique pasta recipe that combines the savory flavor of caramelized onions with the sweet juiciness of pears. This dish is perfect for a cozy fall evening or a special dinner with loved ones.

Ingredients:

  • linguine (200g)
  • onion (1 large, thinly sliced)
  • pear (1 ripe, thinly sliced)
  • balsamic vinegar (2 tbsp)
  • brown sugar (1 tbsp)
  • butter (2 tbsp)
  • garlic (2 cloves, minced)
  • fresh thyme leaves (1 tbsp)
  • parmesan cheese (for topping)

Kitchen Tools:

  • large skillet
  • wooden spoon

To start, cook the linguine according to the package instructions. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and pears, stirring occasionally until caramelized, about 15 minutes. Sprinkle in the brown sugar and balsamic vinegar, and continue to cook for another 5 minutes.

Once the onions and pears are caramelized, add the minced garlic and thyme leaves to the skillet. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together. Toss in the cooked linguine and stir until well combined.

Serve the pasta hot, topped with fresh grated parmesan cheese for an extra burst of flavor.
