Spicy Peach and Bacon Pasta

Today, I’m excited to share a unique and flavorful pasta recipe that combines the sweetness of summer peaches with the savory goodness of crispy bacon. This dish is perfect for a cozy night in or a special occasion when you want to impress your guests with something different and delicious.

Ingredients:

  • penne pasta (250g)
  • ripe peaches (2, sliced)
  • bacon (150g, chopped)
  • red pepper flakes (1 tsp)
  • garlic (2 cloves, minced)
  • olive oil (2 tbsp)
  • fresh basil (handful, chopped)
  • salt and pepper to taste

Kitchen Tools:

  • skillet
  • knife
  • cutting board
  • wooden spoon

To start, cook the penne pasta according to the package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water. While the pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped bacon and cook until crispy. Remove the bacon from the skillet and set aside on a paper towel-lined plate.

In the same skillet with the bacon drippings, add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Cook for a minute until fragrant. Then, add the sliced peaches and cook for another 2-3 minutes until they start to caramelize.

Once the pasta is cooked, drain it and add it to the skillet with the peaches. Toss everything together and season with salt and pepper. Stir in the cooked bacon and fresh basil, mixing until everything is well combined.

Serve the spicy peach and bacon pasta hot, garnished with additional fresh basil.
