I’m excited to share a new healthier dessert recipe with you today that’s perfect for any occasion. I recently stumbled upon a unique ingredient combination that creates a delicious and guilt-free treat that you won’t be able to resist.

Ingredients:

  • sweet potato (250g)
  • beetroot (100g)
  • unsweetened cocoa powder (50g)
  • cinnamon (1 tsp)
  • honey (3 tbsp)
  • almond milk (1/2 cup)

Kitchen Tools:

  • oven
  • baking sheet
  • food processor
  • mixing bowl

To start, preheat your oven to 200°C. Wash and peel the sweet potato and beetroot, then chop them into small cubes. Place the cubes on a baking sheet and roast them in the oven for about 30 minutes, or until they are soft.

Once the sweet potato and beetroot are cooked, transfer them to a food processor along with the cocoa powder, cinnamon, honey, and almond milk. Blend until smooth and creamy. If the mixture is too thick, you can add a little more almond milk to reach your desired consistency.

Scoop the mixture into a mixing bowl and refrigerate for at least an hour to chill. When ready to serve, divide the dessert into small bowls and garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon or a dollop of Greek yogurt.

This unique dessert creation weighs approximately 500g and serves 4 people. Each serving is around 125g, with an approximate calorie count of 150 per serving.

One clever tip for this recipe is to sprinkle a bit of sea salt on top of each serving before serving. The salt enhances the flavors of the sweet potato and beetroot, creating a perfectly balanced and delicious dessert.
