Today, I am excited to share with you my recipe for a heavenly chocolate mousse cake. This indulgent dessert is perfect for any special occasion or when you just want to treat yourself to something luxurious. The rich chocolate flavors combined with the light and airy mousse create a mouthwatering masterpiece that is sure to impress.

Ingredients:

  • 300ml
  • 1 tsp

  • mixer

To start, melt the dark chocolate and butter in a saucepan over low heat until smooth. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and sugar until light and fluffy. Slowly pour in the melted chocolate mixture and continue to whisk until well combined. Sift in the flour and cocoa powder, folding gently to incorporate.

Prepare the springform pan by lining the bottom with parchment paper and greasing the sides. Pour the chocolate batter into the pan and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 25-30 minutes, or until set. Allow the cake to cool completely before adding the mousse.

For the mousse, bloom the gelatin in cold water according to package instructions. In a bowl, whip the cream with vanilla extract until soft peaks form. Melt the gelatin in a saucepan over low heat and slowly fold it into the whipped cream. Spread the mousse over the cooled chocolate cake and refrigerate for at least 4 hours to set.

Once set, carefully remove the cake from the springform pan and garnish with chocolate shavings or fresh berries. Slice into decadent portions and serve chilled. Each bite is a heavenly combination of rich chocolate cake and velvety mousse that will leave you craving more.
