Crunchy Granola Bars: A Must-Have Healthy Snack Recipe

Today, I’m excited to share a new healthy snack recipe that has become a staple in my kitchen. These deliciously crunchy granola bars are perfect for when you need a quick energy boost during the day or a satisfying snack on the go.

Ingredients:

  • rolled oats (200g)
  • almonds (100g)
  • dried cranberries (50g)
  • honey (100g)
  • coconut oil (50g)
  • chia seeds (30g)
  • cinnamon (5g)

Kitchen Tools:

  • mixing bowl
  • baking tray
  • parchment paper
  • saucepan

I start by preheating the oven to 180°C and lining a baking tray with parchment paper. In a mixing bowl, I combine the rolled oats, almonds, dried cranberries, chia seeds, and cinnamon. In a saucepan, I heat the honey and coconut oil until they are melted and well combined.

Next, I pour the honey and coconut oil mixture over the dry ingredients and stir until everything is evenly coated. I spread the mixture onto the prepared baking tray, pressing it down firmly to ensure the bars hold together.

I bake the granola bars in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until they are golden brown. Once done, I remove them from the oven and let them cool completely before cutting them into bars.

The approximate total weight of the cooked dish is 485g, and this recipe makes around 12 servings. Each serving has an average weight of 40g, with an estimated calorie count of 180 per serving.

One clever tip for these granola bars is to add a sprinkle of sea salt on top before baking. It enhances the flavor and adds a nice contrast to the sweetness of the honey and dried fruit.
