Today’s Special: Honey Citrus Glazed Salmon

Hello, foodies! Today, I’m excited to share a recipe that combines the sweet flavors of honey and citrus with the flaky goodness of salmon. This dish is perfect for a light and refreshing meal that is sure to impress your taste buds. Let’s get cooking!

Ingredients:

  • 4 salmon fillets (150g each)
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1 lime, zested and juiced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Kitchen Tools:

  • baking sheet
  • mixing bowl
  • whisk
  • grater
  • skillet

Start by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C) and lining a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet and season with salt and pepper.

In a mixing bowl, combine the honey, orange juice, lime zest and juice, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Whisk until well combined. Pour half of the glaze over the salmon fillets, reserving the remaining glaze for later.

Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork. While the salmon is baking, heat a skillet over medium heat. Pour the remaining glaze into the skillet and simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until thickened.

Once the salmon is cooked, remove it from the oven and brush the thickened glaze over the fillets. Serve the salmon hot, garnished with fresh cilantro or green onions, if desired.

This Honey Citrus Glazed Salmon recipe makes four servings, with each serving weighing approximately 200g. One serving is about 350 calories.

One unique tip for this recipe is to marinate the salmon in the glaze for 30 minutes before baking to really infuse the flavors into the fish.

I hope you enjoy this delicious and flavorful dish! Don’t be afraid to experiment with different citrus fruits or spices to make it your own. Happy cooking!
