Tropical Dragon Fruit Salad Recipe

Introduction

I’m excited to share a unique recipe with you today that combines unexpected flavors and textures to create a dish that will surprise and delight your taste buds. This recipe was inspired by a recent trip to a tropical island where I discovered a new favorite ingredient that I couldn’t wait to incorporate into my cooking.

Ingredients

  • 1 dragon fruit
  • 200g jicama
  • 6 shiso leaves
  • 4 kaffir lime leaves
  • 60ml coconut vinegar
  • 30ml honey
  • 1 bird’s eye chili
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Preparation

Start by cubing the dragon fruit flesh and julienning the jicama. Place them in a mixing bowl along with the chiffonaded shiso leaves and finely chopped kaffir lime leaves. In a separate bowl, whisk together the coconut vinegar, honey, sliced bird’s eye chili, and salt until well combined. Pour the dressing over the fruit and vegetable mixture and toss gently to coat everything evenly.

Tips

For an extra burst of flavor, let the salad marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving. This will allow the ingredients to soak up the dressing and become even more delicious.

Serving

The total weight of the finished salad is approximately 500g, with 4 servings at around 125g each. Each serving is approximately 100 calories.
