As the weather starts to cool down and the leaves begin to change, I find comfort in classic dishes with a unique twist. Today, I am excited to share my creative take on a beloved comfort food favorite: macaroni and cheese. This recipe includes unexpected ingredients that come together to create a dish that is both familiar and exciting.

Ingredients:

  • elbow macaroni (250g)
  • gouda cheese, shredded (150g)
  • bacon, cooked and crumbled (100g)
  • honey (30ml)
  • chili powder (5g)
  • fresh parsley, chopped (15g)

  • oven

To start, preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the shredded gouda cheese, cooked and crumbled bacon, honey, and chili powder. Stir until the cheese is melted and the mixture is smooth.
