Today, I’m sharing a delightful dessert recipe that combines the rich flavors of chocolate and hazelnut with the flaky texture of baklava. These Chocolate Hazelnut Baklava Cups are perfect for a special occasion or when you’re craving something sweet and unique.

Ingredients:

  • phyllo dough (6 sheets, approximately 180g)
  • hazelnuts (1 cup, roughly chopped, approximately 120g)
  • dark chocolate (1 cup, chopped, approximately 150g)
  • butter (1/2 cup, melted, approximately 115g)
  • sugar (1/2 cup, approximately 100g)
  • cinnamon (1 teaspoon)
  • honey (1/2 cup)

Kitchen Tools:

  • muffin tin
  • pastry brush
  • sharp knife
  • mixing bowl

Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly greasing a muffin tin. Lay out the phyllo dough and cut it into squares to fit each muffin cup. Layer the phyllo squares in the muffin tin, brushing each layer with melted butter.

In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped hazelnuts, dark chocolate, sugar, and cinnamon. Spoon this mixture into each phyllo cup, then drizzle honey over the top. Continue layering phyllo dough, nut mixture, and honey until each cup is filled.

Bake the Chocolate Hazelnut Baklava Cups in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the phyllo is golden brown and crisp. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
