Hey there, foodies! Today, I’m excited to share a fun and inventive recipe that combines two of my favorite dishes: sushi burritos and tacos. This dish is perfect for a casual dinner party or a unique weeknight meal. The flavors and textures in these sushi burrito tacos are sure to impress your taste buds!

Ingredients:

  • 250g sushi rice (cooked)
  • 4 nori seaweed sheets
  • 4 large tortillas
  • 200g sushi-grade raw salmon
  • 1 ripe avocado, sliced
  • 1/2 cucumber, julienned
  • 50g pickled ginger
  • 50ml soy sauce
  • 1 tsp wasabi paste

Kitchen Tools:

  • bamboo sushi rolling mat
  • sharp knife
  • cutting board
  • mixing bowl

To start, place a nori sheet on a bamboo sushi rolling mat. Spread a thin layer of sushi rice over the nori, leaving a small border around the edges. Place slices of raw salmon, avocado, cucumber, and pickled ginger in the center of the rice. Roll up the sushi burrito tightly using the bamboo mat, then slice it into bite-sized pieces.

Next, warm up the tortillas in a dry skillet until they are soft and pliable. Fill each tortilla with the sushi burrito slices, then fold the sides in to create a taco shape. Repeat with the remaining ingredients to make four sushi burrito tacos.

In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce and wasabi paste to create a dipping sauce for the tacos. Serve the sushi burrito tacos with the dipping sauce on the side and enjoy!

This unique fusion dish weighs approximately 900g in total and serves 4 people. Each serving of sushi burrito tacos is around 225g and contains approximately 350 calories.

Clever Tip:

For an extra crunch, try adding some crispy tempura flakes to the sushi burrito tacos before rolling them up. The texture contrast will take this dish to the next level!
