Today, I’m excited to share a recipe that always brings me comfort during the chilly autumn evenings. This Mushroom Medley dish is a hearty and flavorful combination of various mushrooms that is sure to warm your soul and satisfy your cravings.

Ingredients:

  • Portobello mushrooms (200g)
  • Shiitake mushrooms (150g)
  • Chanterelle mushrooms (100g)
  • Butter (30g)
  • Garlic (2 cloves, minced)
  • Fresh thyme (1 tsp)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Pepper (to taste)

Kitchen Tools:

  • wooden spoon

To start, clean and slice the Portobello, Shiitake, and Chanterelle mushrooms. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and add the minced garlic. Sauté for a minute until fragrant, then add in the sliced mushrooms. Cook until they start to soften, about 5-7 minutes.

Sprinkle in the fresh thyme, salt, and pepper. Continue to cook the mushrooms until they are tender and any excess liquid has evaporated, stirring occasionally. This should take around 10-15 minutes.

Once the mushrooms are cooked to perfection, remove the skillet from the heat and let the flavors meld together for a few minutes. Serve the Mushroom Medley warm as a side dish or over a bed of fluffy quinoa or rice for a complete meal.
