Today’s Culinary Creation: Sweet and Savory Pineapple Pork Stir-Fry

One of my favorite things about cooking is getting creative with ingredients and flavors, and today I’m excited to share a unique recipe that combines sweet and savory elements in a delicious pineapple pork stir-fry. This dish is perfect for a quick and flavorful weeknight dinner that will satisfy your taste buds and leave you feeling satisfied.

Ingredients:

  • 500g pork tenderloin
  • 1 small fresh pineapple
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 3 green onions
  • 50ml soy sauce
  • 30g brown sugar
  • 30ml rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 15g cornstarch
  • 15ml sesame oil
  • 30ml vegetable oil
  • to taste

Kitchen Tools:

  • wooden spoon
  • measuring cups and spoons
  • mixing bowl

To start, marinade the pork strips in soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, minced ginger, and garlic in a mixing bowl. Let it sit for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to penetrate the meat. In a wok, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat and add the marinated pork strips, cooking until browned and cooked through.

Once the pork is cooked, add the chopped pineapple, sliced red bell pepper, and green onions to the wok. Stir-fry for a few minutes until the vegetables are slightly softened but still crisp. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry, then pour it into the wok along with sesame oil. Stir well until the sauce thickens and coats the ingredients evenly.

Season the stir-fry with salt and pepper to taste, then remove from heat. Serve the sweet and savory pineapple pork stir-fry hot over steamed rice or noodles, garnished with extra sliced green onions for a pop of freshness.

This dish serves 4 people with each serving weighing approximately 300g. One serving of this flavorful stir-fry is estimated to be around 400 calories, making it a satisfying meal option for dinner or lunch.
