Today’s Special: Chicken & Strawberry Stir-Fry

Hey there, foodies! Today, I’m excited to share a unique and refreshing recipe for Chicken & Strawberry Stir-Fry. This dish is perfect for a hot summer day when you want something light, yet satisfying. The combination of sweet strawberries and savory chicken creates a flavor explosion that will leave your taste buds wanting more.

Ingredients:

  • boneless, skinless chicken breast (300g)
  • strawberries (200g)
  • bell peppers (150g)
  • red onion (100g)
  • soy sauce (50ml)
  • honey (30ml)
  • garlic (2 cloves)
  • ginger (1 thumb-sized piece)
  • cornstarch (15g)
  • olive oil
  • salt and pepper

Kitchen Tools:

  • wok
  • chef’s knife
  • cutting board
  • mixing bowl
  • tongs

To start, thinly slice the chicken breast and marinate it in soy sauce and honey. Let it sit for at least 30 minutes to absorb the flavors. In the meantime, prep your vegetables by slicing the bell peppers, onions, garlic, and ginger.

Heat a wok over high heat and add some olive oil. Once the oil is hot, add the marinated chicken and stir-fry until cooked through. Remove the chicken from the wok and set it aside.

In the same wok, add a bit more oil if needed and sauté the garlic and ginger until fragrant. Add the sliced bell peppers and onions, and stir-fry until slightly softened. Return the chicken to the wok.

Next, add in the strawberries, sliced in half. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with a bit of water to create a slurry. Pour the slurry over the stir-fry to create a shiny sauce that coats all the ingredients. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Once everything is well combined and the sauce has thickened, remove the wok from the heat. Serve the Chicken & Strawberry Stir-Fry hot with a side of steamed rice or noodles.

This recipe yields approximately 4 servings, with each serving weighing around 250g. One serving of this dish is approximately 350 calories.

A clever tip for this dish is to sprinkle some toasted sesame seeds on top before serving. This adds an extra layer of nuttiness and crunch that elevates the overall flavor profile.

I hope you give this Chicken & Strawberry Stir-Fry a try and enjoy the unique combination of flavors. Feel free to customize it with your favorite vegetables or protein. Happy cooking!
