Today’s Unique Creation: Molten Lava Cookie Cups

I’m excited to share a new recipe creation with you all today — Molten Lava Cookie Cups! This indulgent dessert is perfect for a cozy night in or a special occasion when you want to impress your guests with a unique and delicious treat.

To start off, gather the following ingredients:

  • 100g butter, melted
  • 150g brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 150g all-purpose flour
  • 30g cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 100g chocolate chips

You’ll also need the following kitchen tools:

  • mixing bowl
  • muffin tin
  • whisk
  • spatula

Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease the muffin tin. In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and brown sugar until well mixed. Add in the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth. Gradually stir in the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt until a thick cookie dough forms. Fold in the chocolate chips.

Divide the cookie dough into the greased muffin tin, pressing it into the bottom and up the sides to form cups. Make sure to leave a well in the center of each cup for the molten lava filling.

For the molten lava filling, you’ll need:

  • 100g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 60ml heavy cream

In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream until it just begins to simmer. Remove from heat and pour over the chopped dark chocolate. Let it sit for a minute, then stir until smooth and glossy.

Fill each cookie cup with the molten chocolate filling, making sure not to overfill. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, until the edges are set but the centers are still gooey.

Once out of the oven, let the cookie cups cool for a few minutes before carefully removing them from the muffin tin. Serve warm, topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra decadent treat.

This recipe makes approximately 6 molten lava cookie cups, with each serving weighing around 150g. Each serving is estimated to be around 400 calories.

A unique tip for this recipe is to experiment with different types of chocolate for the molten lava filling, such as milk or white chocolate, for a custom twist on this classic dessert.

I hope you give this recipe a try and enjoy creating these delicious Molten Lava Cookie Cups in your own kitchen. Feel free to get creative and make it your own by adding nuts, caramel, or your favorite toppings. Happy baking!
