Ingredients:

  • 250g firm tofu, cubed
  • 150g bell peppers, sliced
  • 100g snow peas
  • 100g carrots, julienned
  • 50g green onions, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-inch piece ginger, grated
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sriracha sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • for garnish

Kitchen Tools:

  • wok
  • chef’s knife
  • cutting board
  • mixing bowl
  • tongs

To start, heat the vegetable oil in a wok over medium-high heat. Add the cubed tofu and cook until golden and crisp on all sides. Remove the tofu from the wok and set it aside.

In the same wok, add a bit more oil if needed and sauté the garlic and ginger until fragrant. Toss in the bell peppers, snow peas, and carrots, and stir-fry until the vegetables are tender-crisp.

In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, sriracha, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and cornstarch. Pour the sauce over the vegetables in the wok and stir to coat evenly.

Add the cooked tofu back to the wok and gently toss everything together to combine. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

Serve the spicy tofu stir-fry hot, garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Enjoy this flavorful and satisfying dish on its own or over a bed of steamed rice for a complete meal.
