I am excited to share a delightful treat that perfectly combines the tartness of cherries with the richness of chocolate chips. These Cherry Chocolate Chip Muffins are a great way to start your day or enjoy as an afternoon snack.

Ingredients:

  • 300g all-purpose flour
  • 150g granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 240ml milk
  • 120ml vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 150g cherries, pitted and chopped
  • 100g chocolate chips

Kitchen Tools:

  • oven

To begin, preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.

In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and egg. Slowly add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Gently fold in the chopped cherries and chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the batter.

Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups, filling each about two-thirds full. Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean.

Once baked, remove the muffins from the oven and allow them to cool in the tin for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

These Cherry Chocolate Chip Muffins weigh approximately 1100g in total, yield 12 servings, with each muffin weighing around 90g. Each serving contains approximately 250 calories.

One unique tip for these muffins is to sprinkle some extra chocolate chips on top of the batter before baking for a beautiful and delicious finishing touch.
