Ingredients:

  • fresh sea bass fillets
  • beluga lentils
  • blood orange
  • black garlic
  • microgreens
  • blood orange vinegar
  • extra virgin olive oil

Kitchen Tools:

  • chef’s knife
  • cutting board
  • saucepan
  • frying pan
  • microplane

To start, cook the beluga lentils according to package instructions until tender. In a separate pan, sear the fresh sea bass fillets until they are golden brown and cooked through. Meanwhile, create a simple salad dressing by mixing blood orange vinegar and extra virgin olive oil together.

Next, slice the blood orange into thin rounds and chop the black garlic finely. Toss the cooked lentils with the blood orange slices, black garlic, and microgreens. Drizzle the salad dressing over the mixture and gently toss to combine.

Once the sea bass fillets are cooked, place them on a bed of the beluga lentil salad. Grate some blood orange zest over the top for an extra burst of flavor.

Unique Tip:

For an extra layer of richness, try adding a dollop of blood orange-infused butter to the top of each sea bass fillet before serving. This will elevate the dish and add a luxurious touch to each bite.
