Unique Dessert Recipe: Sweet Potato Pecan Pie Bars

Today, I’m excited to share a new dessert recipe that combines some of my favorite fall flavors in a unique and delicious way. These Sweet Potato Pecan Pie Bars are perfect for a cozy autumn evening or a Thanksgiving dessert table. The creamy sweet potato filling is complemented by a crunchy pecan topping, creating a mouthwatering treat that will leave everyone coming back for more.

Ingredients:

  • 400g sweet potatoes
  • 200g brown sugar
  • 150g butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 150g all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 100g pecans

Kitchen Tools:

  • mixing bowl
  • whisk
  • 9×9 baking pan
  • mixer

To start, preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a 9×9 baking pan. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked and mashed sweet potatoes, brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the sweet potato mixture, stirring until well combined.

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it out evenly. In a small bowl, mix the chopped pecans with a tablespoon of flour to coat. Sprinkle the coated pecans over the top of the sweet potato mixture.

Bake the bars in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the bars to cool completely before slicing into squares.

These Sweet Potato Pecan Pie Bars weigh approximately 1200g after baking. This recipe yields 12 servings, with each serving weighing around 100g. Each serving is estimated to have around 300 calories.

One unique tip for this recipe is to refrigerate the bars for a few hours before serving. This will enhance the flavors and allow the textures to set, providing a more enjoyable eating experience.

I hope you give these Sweet Potato Pecan Pie Bars a try and enjoy them as much as I do. Feel free to get creative and make this recipe your own by adding spices like cinnamon or nutmeg, or even a dollop of whipped cream on top. Happy baking!
