For this recipe, you’ll need the following ingredients:

  • tuna fillets (fresh) – 400g
  • cabbage – 200g
  • avocado – 1
  • jalapeño peppers – 2
  • lime – 1
  • corn tortillas – 8
  • fresh cilantro – a handful
  • olive oil – 2 tbsp
  • salt and pepper – to taste

To prepare this dish, you’ll need the following kitchen tools:

  • chef’s knife
  • cutting board
  • grill pan
  • mixing bowl
  • tongs

Start by seasoning the tuna fillets with salt, pepper, and a drizzle of olive oil. Heat a grill pan over medium-high heat and sear the tuna for 2-3 minutes per side, or until cooked to your liking. Let the tuna rest for a few minutes, then slice it thinly against the grain.

While the tuna is cooking, thinly slice the cabbage and jalapeño peppers. Dice the avocado and chop the cilantro. In a mixing bowl, combine the cabbage, jalapeño peppers, avocado, cilantro, and the juice of the lime. Season with salt and pepper, and toss to combine.

Heat the corn tortillas in a dry skillet for about 30 seconds per side, until they are warm and slightly charred.
