Crispy Prosciutto and Fig Salad

Today, I’m excited to share a unique and flavorful recipe that combines the salty crunch of prosciutto with the sweet juiciness of fresh figs. This salad is perfect for a light lunch or as a side dish for a special dinner.

Ingredients:

  • mixed greens (150g)
  • prosciutto slices (100g)
  • fresh figs, sliced (100g)
  • goat cheese, crumbled (50g)
  • walnuts, chopped (50g)
  • balsamic glaze
  • olive oil
  • salt
  • pepper

Kitchen Tools:

  • mixing bowl
  • whisk
  • baking sheet
  • chef’s knife

To start, preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lay out the prosciutto slices on a baking sheet and bake for about 10-12 minutes until crispy. Remove from the oven and let cool.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the mixed greens, sliced figs, crumbled goat cheese, and chopped walnuts. Crumble the crispy prosciutto over the top.

In a separate small bowl, whisk together balsamic glaze, olive oil, salt, and pepper to create a dressing. Drizzle the dressing over the salad and toss gently to combine all the ingredients.

Transfer the salad to a serving platter or individual plates. Feel free to add more balsamic glaze or olive oil if desired for extra flavor.

This salad serves approximately 4 people and each serving weighs around 200g. One serving contains approximately 250 calories.

Unique Tip:

If you want to add an extra layer of flavor to this salad, try toasting the walnuts before adding them to the mix. It will enhance their nutty taste and add a delicious crunch to the dish.
