Exploring New Flavors: Spicy Peanut Noodle Stir-Fry

As someone who loves experimenting with unique flavor combinations, I’m excited to share a recipe that combines the rich nuttiness of peanuts with a spicy kick in a delightful noodle stir-fry. This dish is perfect for those days when you’re craving something with a bit of heat and a whole lot of flavor.

Ingredients:

  • udon noodles (200g)
  • peanuts (100g)
  • red bell pepper (1)
  • green beans (150g)
  • onion (1)
  • chili flakes (1 tbsp)
  • soy sauce (2 tbsp)
  • sesame oil (1 tbsp)
  • garlic (3 cloves)

Kitchen Tools:

  • wok
  • strainer
  • chopping board
  • knife
  • spatula

Start by boiling the udon noodles according to the package instructions. While the noodles are cooking, heat your wok over medium-high heat and add the peanuts. Toast them until they are fragrant, then remove them from the wok and set them aside.

In the same wok, add some sesame oil and toss in the chopped garlic, onion, red bell pepper, and green beans. Stir-fry until the vegetables are slightly tender. Add the cooked udon noodles to the wok along with soy sauce and chili flakes. Toss everything together until well combined.

Finally, return the toasted peanuts to the wok and give everything a final toss. Serve the spicy peanut noodle stir-fry hot and garnish with some extra peanuts for crunch.

This spicy peanut noodle stir-fry weighs approximately 800g once cooked, making about 4 servings. Each serving is approximately 200g and contains around 350 calories.

One unique tip for this recipe is to crush some of the toasted peanuts and sprinkle them on top of the stir-fry for an extra burst of nutty flavor.
