Today’s Recipe: Spicy Maple Glazed Chicken Thighs

Hello to all my fellow foodies! Today, I am excited to share with you a recipe that has become a staple in my kitchen for cozy autumn nights — Spicy Maple Glazed Chicken Thighs. This dish is the perfect balance of sweet and spicy, making it a crowd-pleaser every time I serve it. So let’s get cooking!

Ingredients:

  • 6 bone-in chicken thighs (approx. 900g)
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp sriracha
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1-inch piece of ginger, grated
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste

Kitchen Tools:

  • baking sheet
  • mixing bowl
  • whisk
  • measuring cups
  • measuring spoons
  • knife
  • grater

To start, preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Place the chicken thighs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and season them with salt and black pepper. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.

In a mixing bowl, combine the maple syrup, soy sauce, sriracha, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Whisk until well combined. Remove the chicken thighs from the oven after 20 minutes and brush them generously with the maple glaze.

Return the glazed chicken thighs to the oven and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 75°C (165°F) and the glaze is sticky and caramelized.

Once the chicken is cooked through, sprinkle sesame seeds and sliced green onions on top for a fresh burst of flavor. Serve the Spicy Maple Glazed Chicken Thighs hot with your favorite side dishes and enjoy!
